-McCabe And Mrs. Miller from 1971 is a great western, just a great film period, and one of my favorites. -The Proposition from 2005 is a fantastic Australian western. Neither of those movies are exactly, um, happy movies. They are both rather bleak and The Proposition is pretty darn violent. Excellent nonetheless.

I started reading the Hobbit when I was 6, The Lord of the Rings when i was 9, the Sillmarillion when i was 12. I watched the cartoon animation movie versions of the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings same ages. But in December of 2001, 2002 and 2003 when the Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers and the Return of the King each cane out when I was 16,17 and 18 of course over 20 years ago. Not a single movie or TV show can come close to these three masterpiece films. The extended editions are even better. I still cry at this scene. Especially when that violin starts playing...RIP Bernard Hill.

One thing I have made sure to show my daughter was that im not perfect. I am flawed. When I make a mistake I admit it. I show her that it is ok to make mistakes and learn from them. When I was a kid I wasn’t allowed to make mistakes and like you said eventually kids will realize on their own so why not admit it right out of the gate.

its been my experience that the people that enjoy this movie are dumber than a steaming pile of dog shit. the only good thing about this movie is the cast. everything else is shit. the script is shit. the camera work is shit. the score is passable, but still hokey old west bullshit.

I love Gus as a character. Will you be watching Better Call Saul as well? It adds a LOT to the overall story. It's a prequel and in my opinion does a fantastic job making the series even better. Breaking Bad takes place from 2008-2010 while Better Call Sault takes place roughly from 2002-2005.

I live in Abq and met the big extra from the 'Mexican' lab! We sat next to each other on a plane from Dallas to Abq. Unfortunately, we didn't start talking until 5 min before landing, so I didn't get much info about the experience other than he had tattoos, spoke Spanish and looked scary. I had questions about production and the actors I never got to ask.

There’s quite a few well known cowboys/ western genre actors in this. Sam Elliott lots, the Hacketts, the quick and the dead, the shadow riders, you know my name. the ranger, the cook and the whole in the sky. Buck Taylor.. he played turkey creek jack johnson in tombstone. He was a long time fixture of tv’s Gun Smoke, also in the Hacketts, and in the movie, He’ll or High Water. Fred White was played by Harry Carey jr. He was in, last stand at saber river, and nine other westerns alongside John Wayne. (Also he’s in the movie, they still call me trinity). Funny westerns: they call me trinity, and trinity is still my name, with Terrance Howard. Nothing to do either tombstone. Harry Carey jr’s father was Harry Carey sr. Who first appeared as an actor, in a western in 1908. Western genre royalty. Nothing related to tombstone either. I understand this is a long post but, the more you know, the less you don’t.

When Wyatt walks into the gun fire and doesn’t get shut and kills Curly Bill and the 2nd guy, that wasn’t something Hollywood made up. That actually happened. The only difference was the 2nd guy wasn’t killed on the spot. I ended up crawling to someone’s barn and the owner asked what happened and he told him what happened before bleeding out. Apart of the reason Wyatt Erpe is such a legend, is because of all the major gun fights he was apart of. And he never once was shot
